An incredible architecture

Facing the Saint Jean des Vignes abbey, let yourself be surprised bythe resolutely contemporary architecture of the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse du GrandSoissons. Its remarkable appearance does not fail to attract the gaze of visitors and the curious.

Built to echo the remains of the medieval abbey, its glazed half-vaults respond to the ogives of the imposing façade of Saint Jean des Vignes.

Feel free to enter a little before your concert and take the time to explore the central ambulatory, reminiscent of the naves of religious buildings of old. A striking experience!

Exceptional acoustics

Inaugurated in 2015, this teaching and broadcasting facility provides a comprehensive approach to music, dance and theater.

The 513-seat auditoriumis dedicated to acoustic, instrumental or vocal music. It offers exceptional acoustics and can accommodate an audience in conditions that meet the most demanding projects.

Other rooms such as the amphitheater or the orchestra room can accommodate 116 and 60 people respectively.

An annual program of high quality gives pride of place to world-class artists like the ensemble “Les Siècles” under the direction of François-Xavier Roth, who will be able to captivate you with their talent.

For all these elements, the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse will delight both amateur and more experienced music lovers.
