A bit of history!
Les Bains du Lac! Why this name?
The rather classical architecture of the building with its peristyle recalls Greek and Roman temples in reference to the discovery of an ancient Gallo-Roman villa that had private baths on the territory of Mercin and Vaux, which hosts the aquatic complex.
The choice fell on that of baths, a bit like a distant echo to the first cold baths of Soissons. The word “Lake” comes from the architect of the complex who, during work meetings, kept calling the body of water on the site where the complex is built, a lake.
The Lake Baths were born!

The Bains du Lac aquatic complex includes a 25m x 25m sports pool (10 lines), a 450 m² fun and learning pool, a paddling pool and a pentagliss. In addition a wellness area includes a balneotherapy pool, 2 saunas, 2 hammams, a jacuzzi and a fitness and cardio biking area.
LA HALLE BASSINS
This space is equipped with a sports pool of 25m x 25m (10 lines), a play and learning pool of more than 450m2, a wading pool for very young children and a pentagliss with 4 lanes of almost 30m long.
In the Halle bassins you have the opportunity to practice your favorite activities such as aquagym, aquabiking and to take courses to overcome your fear of water with aquaphobia. The baby swimming sessions and the water garden welcome the little ones.
The pools also welcome you for swimming lessons or do laps in complete freedom. You can also practice the spaces of the Halle basins in a playful way!
The BALNEO SPACE
To access this space you must be at least 18 years old. This space is composed of a balneotherapy pool equipped with numerous massaging jets, two hammams, two saunas and a jacuzzi that can accommodate 10 to 12 people.
Good deal! Know that an entry in this space automatically gives access to the Halle Bassins!
The CARDIO BIKING AND FITNESS SPACE
To access this space you must be at least 18 years old. It is equipped with an escalator, three elliptical bikes, three treadmills, a semi-recumbent bike, an upright bike and a krankcycle (handcycle). An adjacent room has 15 biking machines. Activities are offered by LesMills: BodyPump, BodyBalance, SH’Bam, RPM…no more excuses for not staying in shape!
