In October 1918, the troops of the Italian general Albricci dislodged the Germans who had taken over this commune in the Aisne valley the previous spring. Built after the war, the cemetery welcomed a little less than 600 Italian combatants and a monument was added in 1921, built at the back of the cemetery by the transalpine sculptor Fernand Cian. Exhibition panels in memory of the Italians who fought in the town were inaugurated in 2021.
