  • Of the old Saint-Médard abbey, only the pre-Romanesque crypt remains, the oldest monument in Soissons, dating from the 9th century. Composed of a dozen chapels served by a central corridor, it housed the tomb of the bishop Saint-Médard as well as those of Clotaire and Sigebert, son and grandson of Clovis.
