Hôtel de Barral

In the heart of Soissons, the Barral Hotel is a group of three residences fitted out to receive some ambassadors who had to take part in the 1st European Peace Council which took place in Soissons in 1728 under the aegis of Cardinal Fleury. One can admire the main courtyard, a sundial, a Napoleon III basin, a grand staircase with a Regency wrought iron banister, the courtyard of the outbuildings, as well as the Napoleon III stables and the water troughs. The vaulted cellars have preserved the graffiti of the 17th century inmates. This residence, after the magnificence, knew the ruin and lives again now for the pleasure of the public.
