The fort was decommissioned two years before the beginning of the war, in 1912, but still played a decisive role on October 23, 1917 during the battle of Malmaison. Note that this fort can only be visited as part of the tours offered by the Visitor Center of the Chemin des Dames - Caverne du Dragon throughout the year ....
