Discovering the crafts on the weekend of April 1 and 2, 2023 in the enchanting setting of the Septmonts castle

The JEuropean Arts and Crafts Days at the Septmonts Castle, around the theme “Sublimating the Everyday” will take place on the weekend of April 1 and 2, 2023.

The opportunity to discover a rich program mixingart crafts and music in the historic monument: the castle of Septmonts.

A weekend rich in meetings, demonstrations, unusual visits of the castle of Septmonts, exhibition of musical instruments, classical music and pop rock concerts will punctuate this event.

An opportunity to discover the French historical and artisanal heritage in the heart of the capital of the Franks.

For the second time, GrandSoissons Agglomeration will welcome the general public onSaturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 2023. In partnership with the municipality of Septmonts and the City of Music and Dance, this weekend, will be an opportunity to discover the works of art craftsmen holders of an intangible heritage both traditional and innovative.

Sublimating the Everyday

Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 meet the craftsmen from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6:30pm.

Saturday, April 1: demonstrations of excellent craftsmanship:

Marker Valentin Bove at 11:30 a.m.
Stained glass artist Anne Leroy at 3:45 p.m.

Sunday, April 2

Stone cutter Christophe Quéré at 11:30 a.m.
Embroiderer Marie-Pierre Charrié at 3:45 p.m.

Exhibition of musical instruments

Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm

Guided tour on Saturday at 4:30 pm

For the pleasure of the eyes, but also for the emotion they arouse the musical instruments are unveiled. In partnership with the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse and with the participation with the instrument makers craftsmen and the Friends of the organs of Soissons.

Exceptionally, you will have the privilege of accessing spaces usually closed such as the square tower, the church and the cellar.

Concert by conservatory students

Saturday, April 1, 6:00-6:30 p.m.

Concert outside the walls with students from the conservatory in Soissons at the logis des évêques.

 

 

Vecnash concert

Sunday, April 2, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

The event will close with a Pop Rock concert with the music group Vecnash within the castle grounds (hat concert).
